Dr. Lichota is a highly accomplished medical professional with over 30 years of experience in the field. With a background in Orthopedic Sports Medicine and extensive expertise in teaching Orthopedic residents for over 20 years, he has established himself as a respected authority in his field.
Joining Nova six years ago as Center Medical Director in Grand Prairie, Texas, Dr. Lichota quickly demonstrated his leadership skills and dedication, leading to his promotion to Regional Medical Director. Currently serving as the National Medical Director, he plays a pivotal role in shaping Nova’s growth and advancing the organization’s philosophy.
As the National Medical Director, Dr. Lichota is responsible for fostering the growth of the Nova treatment philosophy, which centers around providing patient-centric care with a focus on achieving positive outcomes. With a strong emphasis on high-quality care and exceptional service, he spearheads provider development initiatives, ensuring that educational opportunities are available to all Nova providers. Dr. Lichota’s expertise is highly regarded, as he frequently presents medical insights at national conferences and conducts continuing education seminars for participants of the workers’ compensation system.
Dr. Lichota’s meticulous daily oversight ensures that each center maintains consistent standards of care and an understanding of the nuances of Occupational Medicine. This commitment to consistency ensures that patients receive uniform and exceptional care in each of Nova’s Centers.
Dr. Lichota is a graduate of Texas A&M University School of Medicine and completed his Orthopedic residency at Scott and White, followed by a Sports Medicine Fellowship at Baylor. Throughout his career, he has served as a team physician for multiple professional, collegiate, and high school sports teams, showcasing his commitment to athlete well-being.
