Nova Medical Centers expanding in South Texas

San Antonio, TX – May 15, 2014 By W. Scott Bailey

One of the nation’s largest occupational health services companies is expanding its footprint in South Texas.

Nova Medical Centers says it will open a third Rio Grande Valley facility later this month. The newest center will be located in Harlingen, Texas.

Nova treats on-the-job injuries, conducts pre-employment screens and offers preventative services such as vaccinations and flu shots. The company already has Texas centers in the Pharr/McAllen area and in Brownsville.

“Nova is making a significant investment in under-served markets like the Rio Grande Valley to better serve our patients, employers and payor communities,” says the company’s chief operating officer, Bruce Meymand. “We find value in providing broad coverage for our stakeholders, and we believe it is one of many factors elevating Nova Medical Centers to best-in-class in occupational medicine.”
